This picture was made in Moscow on the 9th of May 2004 for the Board of Honor. There is the Great Patriotic War Order and Jubilee Medal of the Air Force Army #1 on my jacket.
When I was working at the Moscow 2nd Bearing Plant, I entered a post-graduate evening school at the Energy Institute and came to defend my dissertation. I was deputy to the chief metallurgist of the plant. Having become a candidate of science, I went to work in the All-Union Institute of Bearing Industry. I started as an engineer and was promoted to the position of laboratory chief. I worked for that institute until 1987, when I retired.
Now I am taking part in Jewish social life. I am a member of the group Friendship with Israel and of the International Board of Russian Committee of Russian Veterans of War. Sometimes we are asked to provide charitable assistance, and we do provide it. I think we have a comfortable life. I have a rather decent pension for being a veteran of war. My husband works and receives a pension. We are not needy.
Now when I am thinking of my life I can say that I am not ashamed of it. I only regret that I am not young anymore.
